A ROOTFOOT NATURAL PRESERVATION PROJECT
CONTRIBUTING TO THE HALT OF NEW BUC-EE’S PROPOSAL IN COLORADO
A massive project is proposed in a pristine forest in Colorado. We are standing up for nature.
We, alongside the local community, are devoting endless time and resources to help halt unreasonable development of a proposed second Buc-ee’s location in Colorado. Yes, somehow the first Buc-ee’s slipped in to Colorado but now Coloradans are aware of Buc-ee’s business model and its consequences in the community and we are not wanting this to happen again! The proposed Buc-ee’s location is in on 20 acres of forest that is home to much flora and fauna, including hundreds of thousands of animals, some high-risk and endangered species. It is adjacent to hundreds of acres of preserved land that acts as a wildlife refuge. We are acting as a voice for nature’s “quiet” and a voice to support the local community as undoubtedly this development would exhaust the community of its resources, add significant pollution including air, water, noise and light and would devastate the natural beauty, local charm, and ecological integrity of the Tri-Lakes region.
